The School is pleased to announce the launch of a new human geography research cluster. The research cluster, called 'Politics and Matter', brings together human geographers from the History and Culture Research Group and the Political Economy Research Group to study the inter-relationships of politics and material geographies.

Dr. Adam Dixon has been awarded a small grant from the British Academy to investigate the locational and organisational dynamics of sovereign wealth fund (SWF) development outside of traditional financial centres in cities and states without any past claims to the global finance industry.

This event is an opportunity for Bristol university postgraduates studying natural systems and processes to present a poster of their work to fellow postgraduates and members of staff. The aims of the session are to increase inter-departmental connections and to provide postgraduates with an opportunity to practice their presentation and poster design skills. This year we have over 120 posters from various Bristol University departments including Geography.
