Dr Fotis Sgouridis

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2015) and I have considerable experience of teaching Environmental Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have been teaching (lectures, plus field and laboratory activities), in the Water Quality Module and North Wales field course at Keele University (2014-2015). Moreover, at Keele I have supervised two Erasmus students during their six month research training in biogeochemical methods and two final year undergraduate dissertation projects in Environmental Science. Additionally, I have been successful in obtaining funding for an undergraduate summer studentship from the Analytical Chemistry Trust fund (2013) for a project investigating: ‘Dissimilatory nitrate reduction in soil: Development of the microdiffusion-hypobromite oxidation technique for determining 15N isotope in NH4+ in different soil types’.
