Research summary

Quantifying hydrological behaviour and understanding differences in catchment behaviour is a major challenge in hydrology. This research aims to investigate multiple characteristics of catchment behaviour by applying competing hypotheses of hydrological behaviour within the Generalised Likelihood Uncertainty Estimation (GLUE) framework. Data from over 800 catchments in the UK and additional high resolution datasets will be used in conjunction with flexible modelling techniques in an effort to explore catchment similarities and benchmark catchment processes.
