Research summary

My research project studies the significance of historically dominant religion in the landscape and considers how it may affect the politics of sacred places. Moreover, it investigates the relations between religion and landscape in shaping the sense of belonging to a place and community, and the impact of these relations on just planning. The landscape is here considered as a more-than-visual device capable of informing about subjectivities and collective values, rooted in the intersections of memory, imagination and day-by-day experiences.
