A new framework, produced by PFRC and Law for Life, aims to improve public legal education so that more people are aware of their legal rights when faced with law-related issues in everyday life, such as consumer complaints, discrimination at work or debt problems.

Elaine Kempson contributed to the organisation of a workshop on Impact Evaluation Methods for Financial Capability Enhancement Programs, held in cape Town on 31 October and 1 November 2011. She also presented a paper on combining process evaluation with the measurement of impact.
Affordable credit research published today

Consumer Focus commissioned PFRC to examine options for making better provision of affordable credit for those on low incomes, especially drawing on experience in other countries. The findings are timely as the Government is currently considering how it can reform the British consumer credit market to make sure it is fit for the future. Read the research report here.
