Research interests
My research interests lie in the development and use of simulators (aka computer models) of cryosphere and climate.
My current focus is on marine ice sheets, and I am involved in model developments to improve the representation of grounding line migration in ice sheet models, both through adaptivity, and new parameterisations. I also work on climate model/ice sheet model coupling.
I am interested in how we can use computer models to make real system predictions, such as predicting the contribution of the ice sheets to sea level rise in a warming world. I have in the past worked on a variety of projects using simulators to learn about various aspects of the Earth system, including iceberg drift modelling and simulating past climates.
