Academic life

The University of Bristol is internationally renowned. Staff at Bristol are experts in their fields and work at the forefront of their academic disciplines, which means that our students do too.

The academic system in the UK may be very different to what you are used to at your home university, and it’s important that you familiarise yourself with the differences to ensure your academic success. The teaching environment will vary in different departments and may include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical sessions, clinical work and/or electronic learning.

The study style at Bristol is very different from Korea. At home, we’re made to memorise answers, but at Bristol the professors make us think for ourselves. I really enjoyed this learning style.
