Goldney Hall is always in great demand having built up a reputation as a supportive, responsible, diverse and happy community. Residents leave Goldney with great memories and lifelong friendships. The hall's location and environment are superb and there is an ethos of helpfulness and respect amongst students and staff alike that all incoming residents are expected to uphold and pass on.
Throughout the year the Junior Common Room (JCR) Committee strives to create a wide range of enjoyable and interesting events such as live band or comedy performances, open mic evenings, quizzes, film nights, charity drives, our own "Goldney-versity Challenge" and the formal dinners that take place at the end of the first and second terms. These events are held in the welcoming atmosphere of Goldney Bar or the stunning Orangery.
At least one major play is produced per year and sometimes there are trips out for paintballing, ice skating, theatres or other local events. The extensive, tranquil gardens can be used for relaxing and revising when the weather is with us.
Living in Goldney is an enjoyable and vibrant experience, but please note that unreasonable noise, persistent mess and excessive drinking in the flats are not acceptable.
This section of the web site will give prospective students access to key information about living in Hall, its facilities, staff and support structures.
