Role
As a member of JISC Digital Media I am primarily involved in supporting the UK HE and FE sectors in the creation, use and repurposing of digital media, particularly video. I do this through the writing of advice documents, the answering of queries, attendance at events in the UK which promote the use of digital media in education, publicising the role of JISC Digital media and creating and running training courses. In addition, I plan, shoot and edit videos which JISC Digital Media has been commissioned to create.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
After gaining an Honours B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Computer Science I worked in the computer industry for many years. I subsequently earned an Honours B.A. in Film and Video and worked in the broadcast and corporate video sector variously as a producer, director, cameraperson, sound recordist and editor before joining JISC Digital Media.
Interests
In no particular order, film, video, education, music, theatre, literature and parenting.
