More about this project

The 'Evaluation Toolkit for Practitioners' project was funded under the JISC Committee for Awareness, Liaison and Training Programme - Proposal for the Evaluation and Utilisation of Learning Materials, JISC circular 4/99.

The project outlines the development of a Web-based toolkit to help practitioners in the processes involved in evaluating the use of learning materials to support learning and teaching. The project aims to refine and combine existing materials produced as part of previous initiatives and convert these into a Web-based toolkit.

The objectives are to:

  • Review and report on existing materials available for evaluating the use of learning technologies to support learning and teaching
  • Refine and update a paper-based Evaluation planning Toolkit
  • Refine and update a paper and Web-based Evaluation practice cookbook
  • Product a Web-based version of an enhanced Evaluation Toolkit, incorporating both updated resources
  • Pilot and evaluate the resource (in a workshop format)
  • Disseminate the findings of the project within the UK Evaluation Community and wider across the HE sector.
