As Acting Deputy Director of R&D/ILRT I help lead this innovative, multidisciplinary research and development division of the University of Bristol's IT Services. As Acting Web Futures Manager I lead technical development of cutting edge Web research, learning and administrative applications for the University and the wider educational sector. When I'm not "acting up", I'm a Senior Technical Researcher in the Web Futures group.

I am proud to have been one of the founding project directors of the ILRT. Since joining the university in 1992 I've also been (most recent first) Senior Technical Researcher in the Web Futures group, director of the WebEcon e-Learning project, Director of the University of Bristol's Learning Technology Support Service (LTSS), Software Development Manager at the UK Centre for Computing in Social Sciences and Senior Programmer on the million pound WinEcon project at the Centre for Computing in Economics.
