R&D/ILRT has built upon the success of its project work in a number of areas, and in some cases has successfully transferred projects to become fully supported national services which benefit both the University of Bristol, and the wider HE community.
Examples of services we provide
Bristol Online Surveys (BOS)A national subscription-based shared service offering online survey tools for staff/student feedback and research. The BOS service underpins several national benchmarking surveys in UK HE and is licensed to nearly 300 organisations across the UK and abroad. |
JISC Digital MediaJISC Digital Media is a JISC-funded advisory service that supports the academic community on the digital creation, management and use of still images, moving images and sound resources. As well as providing a national service, JISC Digital Media staff also support digital media projects within IT Services R&D/ILRT and the wider University of Bristol. |
JISC MobileBuilding on the success of the Mobile Campus Assistant software, JISC commissioned R&D/ILRT to develop a mobile version of their website. The result is JISC Mobile - a cut-down version of the JISC website, optimised for mobile use. The site contains recent content that users are likely to want to access whilst on the move, such as news items or podcasts. |
