Our Centre for English Language and Foundation Studies provides an extensive range of courses in English as a foreign language, which includes the following:
Courses range in duration from four weeks to nine months. There are also teacher training courses in teaching English as a foreign language.
If you have been educated outside the British A-level system, you will need to check your qualifications on our country specific information pages to see if you are eligible for direct entry to our degree courses. If you are not eligible for direct entry, and we have advised you to study at Foundation level, you may apply for our own International Foundation Programme to prepare for undergraduate study.
