IT Services in numbers

Unless stated otherwise the figures listed below are for 2010/11.

IT Services

• 6,133,296 - the total number of logins to the University portal, MyBristol
• 484,791 - the total number of logins to the Student Remote Desktop
• Over 8,000 unique users of the Wireless service each week
• 6,600 Wireless VisitorNet usernames issued
• Over 1,000 wireless access points
• 4,800 ResNet users
• Around 100,000 email messages processed each week
• 45,000 network ports on active devices
• 645,052 photocopies and 2,120,062 printed pages were processed by the printer accounting system
• 3,871 staff and students attended 537 training courses. In total, 9,036 trainee hours of training were delivered (7,567 hours of staff training and 1,469 hours for students)
• High Performance Computing has around 419 users involved in over 200 projects. The Research Data Storage Facility has available over 950TB of storage.
