Wireless is a very convenient way to access the Internet. There are several ways to get wireless Internet access in your room.
ResNet Wireless provides wireless Internet in your room or flat and is included free of charge with your ResNet subscription.
Wireless will be available in over 80% of study bedrooms. Please see the full list of ResNet accommodation for details.
Wireless can be slower than wired ResNet, but ideal if you have more than one computer, or a wireless-only device like an iPhone.
To get connected to wireless follow the connection instructions at My ResNet.
If you live in a residence without ResNet Wireless you can set up your own wireless router in your room. You must make sure that it is set up securely, and only you can use it. See regulations for the use of wireless equipment.
Free "eduroam" Wi-Fi is available in many places across the University. Refer to this page to see how to connect.
N.B. This is different from ResNet Wireless.
