Apple Macs

In general we do not support the Apple Mac Operating System (OS). IT Services concentrates its resources on Microsoft Windows and the Unix-based operating systems used to provide University-wide services.

However, we do support Mac users in some ways

• Details about buying Mac licences for staff and students
• Office for the Mac Professional (which includes Virtual PC for the Mac) licences are covered by the University's Campus agreement
• We include Mac set-up instructions for some of our software and services.
• A few departments use Macs extensively and have useful Mac webpages (Earth Sciences is a good example)
