Learning Microsoft Office

We offer a wide range of courses and learning resources in the four main Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Student options

We offer courses and learning resources in Microsoft Office that are specifically designed for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students at all levels. These include how to write and present your assignment or dissertation in Word, how to process and present numerical data in Excel, and how to use PowerPoint to accompany a presentation or talk. Please note, however, that Microsoft Access database courses are not available to taught students.

Taught courses

A variety of courses for beginners and the more experienced are available for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. To see and book currently scheduled courses visit OnCourse (see IT courses for students).

Please note that all taught courses use Office version 2010, which is the version installed in public computer rooms. If you use an older version, for example Office 2003 or 2007, you can download self-study materials in the version of your choice.
