Access to student study spaces is classified into three groups, to help you find an appropriate room.
Open accessOpen access rooms are available for use by any students, irrespective of course, as long the building and room are open. There are no restrictions to logins or access to the room, during normal opening hours.
Timetabled accessTimetabled access rooms are available for use by any students, irrespective of course, when timetabled classes are not using the room, as long the building and room are open. Timetables can be found in the room details in these webpages, outside of those timetabled hours the room is available for use by any student during normal building opening hours. You need to be logged into Single-Sign-On (SSO) before you can see these timetables, logging onto MyBristol would achieve this.
Restricted accessRestricted access rooms are available for use by specific subsection of students and are not open to all students to use. They are usually restricted to students from the department within which the room is located or by a specific postgraduate course. The restriction is often enforced by allowing only certain students to login to the computers or by restricting access to the room or building. Students who are able to use these rooms are normally informed of this by their departments, if you believe that you should have access to a restricted room then please speak to your tutor or supervisor.
Restricted access rooms may also have timetabled teaching within them, please check room details in these webpages for more information on individual rooms.
