Power outage at Langford, 15 August

18:10: To the best of our knowledge all network, phone and other IT services are functioning again at Langford. It is possible there are some individual servers which have not come back. Please report any such cases to the Service Desk, service-desk@bristol.ac.uk.

17:30 Network router at Langford is now back and network switches are coming back gradually. Phones are back.

17:15 Power is currently out to a large part of the University site at Langford, following damage to the power feed for the substation there.

The area affected includes the Churchill building, which hosts our network router & phone exchange.

17:00 Building work at Langford has disrupted the power supply. Phones and networking are affected throughout the Langford site.

We understand that work is underway to restore power.
