Emergencies

  • Contacts within the Department
Many problems can be resolved with the help of the Department.  For problems with your LEA or a language school or university, contact the School Office, (year-abroad@bris.ac.uk), who can advise you and, when necessary, ask an academic member of staff to intervene on your behalf.  You may also contact your personal tutor or another member of staff, if you are experiencing personal problems.

Outside working hours, if you can't get through to the School Office answering machine, ring the University Security Office, (open 24 hours), on 0044 117 9287848 and leave essential details and your phone number abroad and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
  • Contacts in the Country:  Contact the nearest British Consulate (in Rome, Milan or Florence). The telephone number will be under ‘Consolato britannico’ or ‘Ambasciata britannica’ in the telephone directory (elenco telefonico).
