25 November 2015, 4.30 PM - 25 November 2015, 6.45 PM

Prof. Lesley Doyal, Emeritus Prof. of Health and Social Care, School for Policy Studies; Dr. Adrian Flint, Senior Lecturer in Development Politics, Sociology, Politics and International Studies; Dr. Sujitha Subramanian, Lecturer in Law, School of Law

The Human Rights Implementation Centre, based in the Law School, is hosting a screening of 'Fire in the Blood'. An intricate tale of ‘medicine, monopoly and malice’, Fire in the Blood tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments aggressively blocked access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of Africa and the global south in the years after. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring experts from across the University. The event is free but registration is required.
