The University of Bristol Law School is delighted to announce the continuation of its Distinguished Law Alumni Guest Lectures series launched last year as an initiative of the Law School Advisory Board. We are immensely proud of our strong alumni community and thrilled to have so many distinguished alumni willing to come back and share with contemporary students practical experience and analysis of topics that students are studying. These include many leaders in the fields of law in practice and business, the judiciary and Parliament who will deliver guest lectures on our core and optional courses during 2014/15. Amongst our distinguished alumni guest lecturers this year are three High Court judges, an international criminal court judge, judges of the Upper Tribunal, the Employment Tribunal and the County Court, ten leading Queen's Counsel (barristers), Parliamentary Counsel, a former principal Legal Adviser of the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office, a leading lawyer in the world of finance and private equity and the chair of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee.

The lectures are open to both students taking the particular course and other law and non-law students. Law alumni are also welcome.

Details of the dates, times, locations, speakers and lecture subjects will be posted on this website before the beginning of Term 1 in September 2014.
