STUDENT NEWS: Human Rights Law Clinic applications open

HRLC members 2017/2018

Press release issued: 24 September 2018

Applications are now open to join the Human Rights Law Clinic, which gives students the opportunity to provide pro-bono legal research assistance to organisations working on human rights legal issues.

Founded in 2009, the Human Rights Law Clinic is a programme designed to involve students in projects aimed at supporting the work of international, national and regional organisations engaged in the promotion and protection of human rights law. It is an opportunity to work with the Human Rights Implementation Centre and acquire practical knowledge and experience in international human rights law and practice.

Being appointed a member of the clinic gives students the chance to further develop their legal research and writing skills, while contributing to the Centre’s aims of advancing the implementation of human rights standards worldwide.

The clinic's projects vary from year to year depending, in part, on the types of requests received from partner organisations.

To find out more about the Human Rights Law Clinic and how to apply go to http://www.bristol.ac.uk/law/research/centres-themes/hric/human-rights-law-clinic/

Applications must be submitted by 15 October 2018.

Please note we are looking for new members to join the clinic, but also student team leaders to coordinate the activities of the team.
