Miss Amy Marsella


Amy is currently a PhD Candidate and Assistant Teacher at the University of Bristol Law School, having received a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Postgraduate Research Scholarship. Amy was awarded a Master of Laws with Distinction by the University of Kent.

Research Summary:

Amy’s PhD research aims to contribute to the current literary scholarship on animal welfare legislation. Her thesis intends to investigate this in light of domestic, EU and international laws, particularly in relation to the impact of Brexit on animal welfare and trade. Her supervisors are Professor Phil Syrpis, Dr Lee Mcconnell (Law School) and Dr Siobhan Mullan (Vet School). 


Amy currently teaches on the Criminal Law module at the University of Bristol Law School.
