Chemistry Library closure due to refurbishment project

The Library will be closed to all users from Monday 23 July until Wednesday 29 August 2018 whilst refurbishment works are carried out.

  • For any book returns please use the book bin outside the Library or return to any other University Library
  • For access to any Chemistry Library books during the closure period please contact us via
    We are operating a Book Retrieval Service and will make items available for collection from the Queen’s Building Library within 48 hours.

We apologise for any disruption caused by the extended closure.  The works will greatly improve student seating and facilities once completed, we look forward to sharing the new space with you!

Loan periods and borrowing limits

All Chemistry Library items are subject to the standard loan periods and borrowing limits with the following exceptions
MaterialLoan periods and restrictions
New books on display, all journals, reference books, examination papers, theses Confined to the library
Newcomers Collection books All users - three-day loan

Visitor Access

The University of Bristol library is open to external researchers and visitors who have a genuine need to use materials not available in other libraries. Please go to the Visitor Access webpage for current information.
