AddLibS - the Additional Library Support Service

What is AddLibS?

AddLibS is an additional library support service for University of Bristol students and staff members who have particular difficulties accessing our libraries and library services. The AddLibS service offers support for library users who are:

• part-time
• distance-based
• on placement or in academies
• on a year abroad or a year in industry
• researching or writing-up from a distance
• academic staff on sabbatical or working away

or who have:

• short-term health problems
• caring responsibilities (short- or long-term).

If you have any other additional support requirements or significant problems getting to and using our library service, please contact us to discuss whether AddLibS can help.

Our services

• Photocopying & scanning service - have book chapters or journal articles posted or emailed to you
• Postal loans service - get books sent to your home or work address
• Item collection service - order items in advance for collection from your chosen library
• Renewals & reservations - if you have trouble renewing or reserving items, for instance if you don't have easy access to the internet, we can do this for you
