Your UCard
Your UCard (University Card), which you should receive when you first register with the University, is very important. You need it for a growing number of purposes, including:
- use as an identification card, which should be carried at all times on campus
- use as a security card, to gain access to buildings and facilities which you have been given permissions for
- gaining access to and borrowing items from any of the branch libraries, including the use of Self-issue terminals (Please note: for using the self-issue machines you also need your Library PIN.)
- keep your UCard in a safe place and do not lend it to others, and do not disclose your UOB password or Library PIN to anybody
- please make sure the University Library is updated if you change your address
- use of the UCard for access to 'controlled doors' will depend on the policies of the departments involved
