The 'My Library Account' option is on the top menu of the Library Catalogue. To Sign-in to your account you will need to enter your University of Bristol username followed by your University of Bristol password. You will then be able to view, by clicking on links, the following:
Remember to Sign-out of 'My Library Account' when you have finished, to ensure that subsequent users cannot access your library details. You can do this by clicking on the Sign-out option in the top right of the catalogue.
Library notices are sent electronically to your University of Bristol email address; please remember to check your messages regularly.
'My Library Account' is also available on the University portal, MyBristol. Log into the portal using your UoB username and password and you should see a 'Go to Library Account' button together with some of the options listed above.
If your postal address is incorrect or if you have changed address please follow these instructions:
Please note: The change may take up to 24 hours to appear on the library computer system.
You will need your UCard and Library PIN to use the self-issue terminals available in a number of branch libraries.
You can look up your Library PIN on the University portal, MyBristol. Log into the portal using your UoB username and password and visit the Library tab at the top of the page. You will see a channel called 'My Library Account' and in that box a heading 'Library PIN'. Select this heading to show your Library PIN.
You can also take your UCard to the Issue Desk, ideally when you first receive the card. Library staff will then give you a written record of the four-number sequence. Users with special difficulties accessing library resources (including part-time, distance & placement users) may contact the Additional Library Support service (AddLibS) to ask for their Library PIN.
Keep this written record in a safe place away from your UCard and do not disclose your Library PIN to anyone.
If you have borrowing rights, you can log into My Library Account by entering your library number and library PIN. The library number and PIN will have been given to you on collection of your UCard. Please phone the Issue Desk of the Arts & Social Sciences Library on 0117 9288000 for help if you do not have this information. If you still have an old-style library card with barcode, please enter your barcode number and Library PIN. Please note: a new style UCard will be issued to you when you renew your membership.
