Books and other items that you have borrowed should be returned to a member of staff at the Issue Desk of the library from which you borrowed them. There is no need to produce your UCard if you are simply returning items.
In the Arts and Social Sciences, Dental, Medical, Queen's Building, Veterinary Sciences and Wills libraries there are returns boxes into which books can be placed when the Issue Desk is closed, or busy.
Books can be returned by post at your own risk and should be accompanied by a note of your name and address.
Fines are charged for the late return of books and other items.
Reminders (courtesy notices) are usually sent to library users approximately nine days before the due date, for standard loans only. Please note, however, that these notices will not be produced at times when the library computer system is unavailable; therefore, it is your responsibility to monitor your loans using the ‘My Library Account’ option on the Library Catalogue.
