Mathematical Sciences MSc
Our Mathematical Sciences MSc is a flexible and challenging programme, taught by leading experts in the field. It allows you to develop a wide range of mathematical techniques and gives you a solid foundation to progress to research and employment at the highest levels. Students attend selected taught units and also write a thesis in an area of current research.
During this one year course students focus on an area at the forefront of research in Mathematics, with the opportunity to attend specialised lectures and perform their own research under the supervision of a member of staff. This course runs for a full year from October to September. Under the guidance of a mentor, students choose a combination of taught units that are usually examined in January and May. During the summer, students complete a thesis in an area of current research with guidance from a research supervisor.
To be considered for entry to the programme, applicants must hold (or expect to receive) a First Class degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics or a related discipline.
Deadline for applications: 1 August 2019.
