I am a senior researcher experienced in using quantitative and qualitative research methods. My interests are in maternal and child health, infant feeding, young people and health promotion. I have carried out studies investigating the hormonal predictors of breast milk output; explored breastfeeding attitudes with grandmothers, mothers and fathers in ethnic minority groups and in areas of deprivation; evaluated breastfeeding peer support ; produced and evaluated an evidence-based multi-professional breastfeeding learning package for primary care teams; explored parents' perceptions of home injury risk for preschool children; and evaluated young people's sexual health services. I also work at the NIHR Research Design Service-SW(Bristol) providing research advice and support for health professionals.
