| Areas of expertise | I am currently working on a major European Network of Excellence, STELLAR, which represents the effort of the leading institutions and projects in European Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) to unify our diverse community. Previous research has included: • A national research project concerning the professional development of teachers of mathematics: Researching Effective CPD in Mathematics Education (RECME), funded by the NCETM. • The DAIS project, which is one of Becta's 'Harnessing Technology' projects. The project explored the nature and extent of online and face to face discussions in science classrooms. • The MiMeG project, which had as its focus the synchronous, remote analysis of video and related data, as an associate researcher. • Researching mobile learning, a project funded by Becta to investigate the use of handheld computing in schools. |
