After completing my PhD, 'The Production of Harm in the UK: A social harm analysis', I was awarded an ESRC Post Doctoral Fellowship to develop my doctoral work on social harm. I have subsequently published a number of articles and chapters on the issue of social harm. Following my fellowship, I was appointed as Lecturer at the School.
I have recently completed work on two funded projects: 'MultiMedia testimony on Rural Poverty and Social Exclusion' with the Rural Media Company and Dr Eldin Fahmy (Funder: Big Lottery) and 'Whistleblowing' : The social control of organisational harm with Professor Steve Tombs (Funder: British Academy).
I am currently writing with Christina Pantazis on the topic of the recent developments in counter terrorism legislation and its impacts on suspect communities and human rights.
