| Areas of expertise | My areas of research interest lie primarily in issues concerning the international protection of human rights, with particular focus on the freedom of religion and the prevention of torture I am currently Chair of the United Nations SubCommittee for Prevention of Torture, Member of the OSCE Advisory Council on the Freedom of Religion or Belief and a member of the UK Foreign Secretary's Advisory Commmittee on Human Rights. I also remain interested in issues concerning the international law of the sea. |
