My research is primarily focused on paleoclimate and weathering processes using isotope geochemistry. Main research areas include the stable isotope fractionation of zinc and its use in paleoceanography as a tracer for the degree of trace metal limitations in past surface-ocean waters in the past and studying Quaternary paleo-sealevel changes and the driving mechanisms for glacial-interglacial climate changes using high-precision U-series dating of fossil corals. Furthermore, I study low-temperature weathering processes and rates with the U-series isotope systems.
