| Areas of expertise |
I have a broad interest in how infections are caused and how to prevent them. My research focuses on understanding the response of blood vessels to the microbes that cause meningitis and meningococcal disease. We are also studying how the body develops immunity naturally to these microbes in order to develop better vaccines.
We have several research projects investigating the treament and care of patients with suspected meningitis.
