I have worked as a research associate at Bristol University since 2003. Since joining the Academic Unit of Primary Health Care in 2006 I have worked on a qualitative study nested within a randomised controlled trial, Early ACTID. The qualitative study explored experiences of self management by individuals newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
More recently, I have begun work (2007-2009) on a NIHR (National Institute of Health Research) School for Primary Health Care project, funded by the Department of Health. QuAD, is a qualitative study of antidepressant use, examining the barriers and facilitators to patients' use of antidepressants over time.
