As a health economist working alongside primary care practitioners and researchers my principal role is to design, conduct and analyse economic evaluations within clinical studies. These may be in any area of primary care. Recent completed studies include using the Alexander technique to treat back pain, and the single or combined use of ibuprofen and paracetamol in children with fever. Currently there is a focus on mental health and the organisation and delivery of care. I am also exploring the effect of multimorbidity on resource use in primary care.
