I am a lecturer in Deaf Studies. My research and publications span a variety of areas including policy evaluation, social policy, policy approaches for social excluded groups (especially the Deaf community), recognition of British Sign Language.
I have undertaken a wide variety of funded research for public sector bodies including the UN, the European Commission, and the UK Government.
I have been a member of the councils of the UK Evaluation Society (UKES) and the European Evaluation Society (EES) and co-editor of the UKES magazine The Evaluator and co editor of Deaf Worlds
