From 2005-2011, Research and Communications Coordinator for the Research Programme Consortium on Education Quality in Low Income Countries (EdQual), funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). We conducted research in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania and Rwanda focused on improving teaching and learning processes and school leadership in Primary and Secondary schools.
Other research projects include: ‘Partnership for Strengthening Education & Social Science PhD Programmes' (2007-8, funded by British Council) 'Teacher identity in context: a comparison of Tanzanian with English teachers' (2001-2004, funded by ESRC).
