Bristol Research and Innovations in Teaching and Education (originally the BEF group)
The BEF (Bristol Expeditionary Force) was launched on 4th November 2010 (
original BEF flyer, pdf, 360kb), with the aim of forming a group of Bristol medical teachers wishing to publish in medical education journals and presenting at medical education conferences. The idea is to bring together medical teachers with common interests for peer mentoring and support. We wanted to provide academic support and guidance, especially to new and less experienced medical educators so together we can raise Bristol’s profile in medical education, nationally and internationally. This meeting was very well attended and there is a short write up in our
TLHP Newsletter (pdf, 223kb). If you work in the region covered by Bristol Medical School and are a teacher, academic or student interested in getting involved please talk to one of the team or email
tlhp-office@bris.ac.uk.
