Taught Units take place at Bristol and other regional sites and consist of face-to-face teaching (important for exchanging ideas between specialties and professions, social networking and rehearsing practical teaching skills) plus other learning methods, including reading, assignments and online learning.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals consists of Units (totaling 60 credits at level 'M') and is an HEA Accredited Route to Associate/Fellowship of the HE Academy.
