Flexible Programme, Fast Track & Rapid Route
General points
- The TLHP certificate comprises 4 modules, or ‘units’ (101, 102, 103 & 104)
- Each unit has 2 linked study days, both of which you MUST attend
- There is a written assignment linked to each unit plus further preparation to be done between study days 1 and 2
All programmes lead to the same qualification and have the same content, but the timing/mode of delivery varies to suit different applicants as follows:
1. Flexible programme
- We do several runs of each unit every term: this gives you flexibility in choice of dates
- You may not mix and match your day 1 and day 2 between runs – i.e. you stay with the same group for day 2 as day 1
- You will, though, meet different people on each unit
- You have a maximum of 3 years in which to complete the certificate: you can choose your own pace within these parameters
2. Fast Track (FT)
- There are 3 minor differences between these and the normal, flexible programme:
- ... the study days take place at hospitals where the university has ‘academies’
- ... you stay with the same group throughout the 4 units
- ... you commit in advance to all 8 published dates – these are invariable
3. Rapid Route (RR)
- This is simply a defined route through the normal, flexible programme (with particular unit dates highlighted as "RR"), which shows how you can finish the certificate in 1 year
- You do not have to commit to it – you may mix and match with the rest of the flexible programme dates
