New honorary appointment for Stephen Banfield

Stephen Banfield appointed Honorary Associate Professor, University of Melbourne

Stephen Banfield has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor, University of Melbourne, where he will be Principal Fellow in the Faculty of Music. This formalises an ongoing association between the two departments: readers will remember Dr Jan Stockigt's visit to Bristol on the occasion of the Zelenka and Heinichen workshop two years ago, and will be aware that Professor Kerry Murphy is a CHOMBEC honorary associate. The appointment will lead to further academic exchange both at a distance and in person, most naturally within CHOMBEC's remit but not confined to its field of activity and research.
