Instrument: Harp

Ruth Faber studied the harp with Marisa Robles at the Royal College of Music. Since then she has worked regularly with:

• London Philharmonic Orchestra
• Philharmonia
• London Symphony Orchestra
• BBC Symphony Orchestra
• English Chamber Orchestra
• London Mozart Players

Before moving to the West Country, Ruth was harpist to the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Her busy solo schedule has featured recitals all over the UK and abroad, notably concerts at the Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Performances for television have seen her appear on BBC1 and BBC2, as well as BBC Radio 3.

Teaching is an important part of Ruth’s life; she currently teaches at Junior Guildhall, Wells Cathedral School, Bristol and Bath Spa Universities.
