Focus groups - or special interest groups - are groups of people that have formed due to a shared interest in a particular topic, such as autism or membrane channels.
Many such focus groups exist within and overlap with BN. Examples include Bristol Autism Research Group (BARG), and the MRC Centre for Synaptic Plasticity.
It is a loose definition; focus groups differ widely in terms of size, activities, funding, aims and mission. Please see full list of focus groups for information about what they do.
