Bristol will not be left behind during London Fashion Week. Students from Bristol University and the University of the West of England (UWE) have joined together to organise a fashion show in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research and awareness.

Bristol Fashion Show, sponsored by Hotel du Vin & Bistro, will take place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 February at the Bristol Industrial Museum, Princes Wharf at 6.30 pm.

Fashion-lovers will have the opportunity to see the latest collections from top designers Tracey Boyd, Anya Hindmarch and Lulu Guinness, along with high street stores Top Shop, French Connection and Reiss Menswear. UWE fashion students and Julian Roberts, lecturer at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, will also show their collections.

Caroline Jameson, one of the fashion-show organisers from Bristol University, said: 'It's great to have such well-known and new designers involved in the fashion show.

'We look forward to welcoming local people to the show and hope they have an enjoyable evening. '

Tickets, priced £10, are available from the Students' Union shop in Queen's Road and the Refectory in Woodland Road, or tel 07773 790728. Admission includes a drinks reception, fashion show, goodie bag and after-show party.

Further details are available from Caroline Jameson on 07767 218223.
