The University of Bristol appears in the top 100 of three global university league tables.

The University of Bristol appears in the top 100 of three global university league tables – no mean feat, given the thousands of universities that exist across the world.

It came 49th in both the Times Higher Education Supplement’s list of the world’s top 200 universities and Newsweek’s recent ranking of the world’s top 100 universities. Newsweek evaluates institutions on some of the measures used in well-known rankings published by the Times Higher and Shanghai Jiaotong University. Bristol is currently at number 62 in the 2006 Shanghai Jiaotong league table of 500 universities.
