Bristol Multifaith Chaplaincy Tabernacle of Peace
6 October 2006
Bristol University’s Multifaith Chaplaincy is hosting a special gathering across the University to celebrate gestures of peace and dialogue on Thursday 12 October.
To celebrate the event, there will be live music ranging from koranic chants to choral hymns, an interactive peace exhibit, and dialogue sessions running throughout the afternoon. The event hopes to promote peace and is sponsored by the Bristol University Multifaith Chaplaincy.
The gathering is open to everyone and will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, 12 October on the lawn across from Senate House, Tyndall Avenue, Clifton, Bristol. In the case of severe rain or wind the event will take place in the lobby of the Bristol Students’ Union, Queen’s Road, Clifton, Bristol.
Rabbi Natan Levy, Jewish Orthodox Student Chaplain, Bristol University, said: “We rarely have the opportunity to see people brought closer together, rather than further apart by their religious beliefs. This event will highlight some of the hidden gems of inter-faith co-operation. There is a quiet revolution taking place in Bristol, and it is worthy of a celebration."
