US Ambassador visits Bristol's Centres of Excellence

Mr Robert Tuttle, US Ambassador to Britain, visited the University’s two Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) recently, and met members of staff in the Schools of Chemistry and Medical Sciences.
At the Applied and Integrated Medical Sciences (AIMS) CTEL, the Ambassador was shown the teaching facilities in the Physiology Class Laboratory and met ‘Stan’, one of the Human Patient Simulators.
Dr Judy Harris, Dr Eugene Lloyd, Dr Richard Helyer and Peter Dickens explained how Stan is being integrated into the teaching of basic physiology as part of Medical and Veterinary Sciences programmes at Bristol.
